NGEE ANN POLYTECHNIC - CHINESE STUDIES COURSE

Application for admission to the Chinese Studies (CHS) course is also conducted under a separate exercise administered by the Ministry of Education (MOE) for applicants keen on a teaching career with MOE. Eligible applicants under this exercise must be Singapore-Cambridge "O" level holders or the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) / Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) qualification holders. Applicants should apply directly to MOE at the MOE teach website
http://moe.gov.sg/careers/teach/applying/o-levels/#chinese-language. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview to determine the eligibility for MOE teaching bursaries. Selected candidates for the teaching bursaries must pass a medical examination.

 

The planned intake for Chinese Studies offered by Ngee Ann Polytechnic under the Ministry of Education (MOE)'s exercise will be 10.

 

SINGAPORE POLYTECHNIC - NAUTICAL STUDIES COURSE

Applications for the Nautical Studies Course are invited through the local press and are to be submitted directly to the SP. It is done concurrently with applications invited under the JAE. Applicants may apply electronically via Internet at:

Applicants must ensure that they have good eyesight (i.e. visual acuity unaided of 6/60 in both eyes and with visual aids of 6/0 in the better eye and at least 6/9 in the other eye). Applicants must also not suffer from colour appreciation deficiency. Any offer of admission will be conditional upon applicants showing proof of having passed the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) Sight Test. Applicants who are not sponsored by a Singapore shipping company are required to attend a screening interview. Singapore Permanent Residents, International and/or mature students must be sponsored by a Singapore shipping company.

There is only one intake a year in April and applications are invited through the local press. This is conducted at the same time when applications are invited under the JAE.  For further information, applicants are invited to browse the SMA website at: http://www.sma.sp.edu.sg/.

TEMASEK POLYTECHNIC - CONSUMER SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

Application for admission to the Consumer Science & Technology course is made directly to Ministry of Education (MOE). Application is normally invited at the same time as the JAE. Applicants must use separate application forms available at MOE.
