Eligibility Criteria1. Starting from the Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) cohort taking the 2012 GCE ‘N’-Level examinations, Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) students who obtained an ELMAB3 (English, Math, Best 3 Subjects) raw aggregate score of 11 points or better (excluding CCA bonus points) at the GCE ‘N’-Level examination will be eligible to apply to the PFP, provided that they have also obtained the following:
2. The specific subject requirements are needed to ensure that students have the necessary subject-specific foundations to attend the PFP. 3. Bonus points will be awarded for good CCA grades. These bonus points will be used in computing the ELMAB3 net aggregate score for selection and posting to the PFP. Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) Students who have sat for GCE ‘O’ Level Exams in a few subjects. The PFP is also available to Secondary 4 Normal (Academic) students who have sat for their school-based ‘O’-Level preliminary and GCE ‘O’-Level examinations in a few subjects. For duplicate ‘N’-Level and ‘O’-Level subjects, only the better of the two grades is to be included in the computation of the ELMAB3 aggregate score. For example, if a student takes the same Mathematics subject at both ‘N’-Level and ‘O’-Level, only the better grade will count towards his/her ELMAB3 aggregate. The following GCE ‘O’-Level Grade conversion matrix will be adopted during the computation of aggregates.
'O'-Level grades not listed above cannot be used to determine PFP eligibility (i.e. 'O'-Level grades E8 and F9 do not count towards either the ELMAB3 aggregate score computation or in determining if minimum entry requirements for the PFP course have been met). |
