The Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE) 2012 is open only to:

(a) Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents (SC/PR) who have sat for the 2011 Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level Examination, and

(b) Foreign students with 2011 Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level Examination results who had studied in a government school, government-aided school or Independent School in Singapore in 2011.

JPSAE 2012 is not open to:

(a) Students who have been successfully admitted into a JC of their first choice through the Direct School Admission Exercise (DSA-JC Exercise) conducted in July 2011.

(b) Students who have already accepted a place in a polytechnic through the DPA (Direct Polytechnic Admission) Exercise conducted in July 2011.
