Process and Details of DPA Exercise
1. The process for DPA Exercise will be conducted as follows:

Period Process
8 Jul 10 to
13 Jul 10

Students apply for DPA via an online application system
14 Jul 10 to 13 Aug 10 Selection Stage

Offers will be made to successful applicants. DPA applicants may view and accept offers on the online application system between 2.00 pm on 20 Aug 10 and 3.00 pm on 25 Aug 10.

A student who accepts his DPA offer during this stage is guaranteed a place in the polytechnic course, as long as he is able to meet the admission criteria stated.

Note: A student who accepts a DPA Offer cannot concurrently accept an Offer from a Junior College (JC) via the Direct School Admission for JCs (DSA-JC)
By 8 Oct 10 Withdrawal Stage

If a student would like to withdraw from the DPA Exercise 2010 to participate in JAE and JPSAE, he must submit his withdrawals before 8 Oct 2010, by 5.00 pm.

Students who have accepted a DPA Offer but do not withdraw by the deadline are deemed to have confirmed their acceptance and will not be eligible to participate in the JAE or JPSAE.

2. Students who are interested in a junior college (JC) pathway and wish to gain direct admission to a JC can participate in the DSA-JC Exercise, which is conducted during the same period as the DPA Exercise. However, each student is allowed to accept only one offer, either to a JC or to a polytechnic course. If a student is found to have accepted offers from both the DPA and DSA-JC Exercises 2010, he will be disqualified from both the DPA and the DSA-JC Exercises.

3. A student who has previously accepted a DPA offer but would like to participate in the centralised posting exercises, i.e. the Provisional Admission Exercise (PAE), the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE), or the Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE), must cancel his earlier acceptance to DPA. He can do so by downloading a Withdrawal Form from the DPA website at http://www.polytechnic.edu.sg/dpa, filling it up and submitting it by hand to the polytechnic which he has been admitted to. He must submit his Withdrawal Form no later than 08 October 2010, 5pm.
